Racism has been one of the most destructive social problems throughout human history. Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, color, or nationality has caused division, injustice, and conflict among people. Islam came with a universal message that rejects all forms of racism and establishes equality among human beings.

Equality of Humanity in Islam

Islam teaches that all people originate from the same parents, Adam and Eve. Therefore, no race, nation, or ethnic group is inherently superior to another. The Qur'an states:

"O mankind, We created you from a male and a female and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may know one another. Indeed, the most honorable of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you."

(Qur'an 49:13)
